Entering your DNS servers
-
Once you've chosen a host, you will need to point your domain to that host by entering the DNS servers for that host into your domain account at godaddy.com:
-
Log in at http://www.godaddy.com
-
Click the "My Account" link
-
Look near the top left - under the green horizontal menu for where it says "Domain Names" with a blue "world" icon next to it.
-
Hover over and select "Manage Domains"
-
Click on your domain name listed in the main window
-
You should now see a string of icons going from left to right under where it says "Domains >> Details:"
-
Click the one for Nameservers (should be 3rd from right).
You need only 2 Nameservers:
If you are hosting with Baserunner:
Nameserver 1 should be: NS1.BASERUNNER.NET
Nameserver 2 should be: NS2.BASERUNNER.NET
If you are hosting with dixiesys, they will send you an email with the DNS servers listed -
Click the Orange "OK" button down and to the right
-
That's it. Your domain should be pointed at the new server within a couple of hours (it takes some time for the change to propogate).
