Entering your DNS servers

  1. Once you've chosen a host, you will need to point your domain to that host by entering the DNS servers for that host into your domain account at godaddy.com:

  2. Log in at http://www.godaddy.com

  3. Click the "My Account" link

  4. Look near the top left - under the green horizontal menu for where it says "Domain Names" with a blue "world" icon next to it.

  5. Hover over and select "Manage Domains"

  6. Click on your domain name listed in the main window

  7. You should now see a string of icons going from left to right under where it says "Domains >> Details:"

  8. Click the one for Nameservers (should be 3rd from right).

    You need only 2 Nameservers:

If you are hosting with Baserunner:
    Nameserver 1 should be: NS1.BASERUNNER.NET
    Nameserver 2 should be: NS2.BASERUNNER.NET

If you are hosting with dixiesys, they will send you an email with the DNS servers listed

  9. Click the Orange "OK" button down and to the right

  10. That's it.  Your domain should be pointed at the new server within a couple of hours (it takes some time for the change to propogate).
